YapSlip processes WhatsApp export files in your browser. Your chat file, file name, message contents, participant names, emoji and word lists, and computed chat details are never uploaded to YapSlip.

We store limited anonymous analytics in our own backend to understand whether the product works. Each record can contain only an anonymous random visitor ID, an anonymous recap ID after a successful parse, referral ID, optional utm_source, device type, and coarse event-specific buckets.

The permitted event names are: landing_view, export_guide_open, upload_started, upload_file_received, parse_succeeded, parse_failed, card_viewed, recap_completed, share_clicked, share_completed, referred_visit, checkout_started, purchase_completed, refund_requested, and repeat_recap. Event-specific fields are restricted to export platform, file type and size bucket, participant/message/duration buckets, parse-failure code, front door, card index, and share method.
